Our teen youth group meets during the Sunday School hour. This is a special time of songs, prayer, and Bible teaching. It is at this time that special events and activities for the youth are announced.
We are currently using (2) 15 passenger vans in the North Dinwiddie, Colonial Heights, and Chesterfield areas. Pick-up times are as follows:
Grace Baptist has the opportunity to minister in two local assisted living facilities each month. Ministry teams visit and hold brief afternoon services for residents at Spring Oak Assisted Living and Dinwiddie Convalescent Center at 3:30 p.m. Services include a brief devotional Bible study, encouraging hymns and uplifting fellowship with residents and staff at each facility. It is our privilege to share the love of Christ, the good news of the Gospel and the unchanging truth of God’s Word in our community through these outreach opportunities.
Grace Baptist Church uses the Master Clubs curriculum to help train children in serving God. Master Club meets on Sunday afternoons during the 2:00 p.m. Worship service. The club is for children ages 3 years old to 6th grade. A fun time where children learn about God.
Club consists of:
Master Clubs is a ministry of First Baptist Church in Milford, OH masterclubs.org
During the Sunday morning service we have classes for children ages 2-10.
Grace Baptist believes in reaching the lost and we make it a high priority. We take seriously our Lord’s command to reach this world in every way we can. Our members conduct door to door visitation on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 10:00 a.m.
We share the gospel of Jesus Christ in the public schools on Tuesdays from October to April through the work of The Good News Club which is a ministry of The Child Evangelism Fellowship.
The Widows Group was formed in January of 2018 as our number increased and our Pastor saw the need for us, as the Scriptures say, “to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:4.
We usually meet one day each month, from 11 a.m. to about 2 p.m. for a time of fellowship & fun, light luncheon, time in God’s Word, prayer, and singing.
In our Widows Group we wish to reach outside of our church group, to other widows who need encouragement. There is a mailing that is sent out before each meeting. If you would like to join us please call the church office and share your info so we can fill you in.
Widows are special to our God, and He emphasizes this throughout Scripture. What an honor to hold this place in HIS heart! “…put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? …for God is for me.” Psalm 56:8,9
Music is a vital part of our services. We believe Christ-centered music should honor and glorify the Lord in word and sound. The goal of our music is to unify and prepare the hearts of the congregation for the preaching of God’s Word. We have a Church Choir and Brass Ensemble which provides special music for our church. We also have groups and individuals who use their voices to bring glory and honor to the Lord in song.
